Stay tuned for culinary adventures!

Today I made a good french toasty kind of bake.  I also understood why I will never be able to have a food blog.  The recipe was like this:

Half-isha  loaf of day old bread from Jimmy John's
three eggs
some egg beaters
what was left of the milk
some dark brown sugar
a splash of maple flavoring
a larger splash of vanilla flavoring
a small palm of salt minus one pinch
butter
cinnamon and sugar

I melted some butter int he bottom of a 9x9 pan, sliced the bread into thin slices and laid them in two layers over the pan.  I mixed up all the rest minus the cinnamon, sugar, and butter.  Poured it all on the bread, then sprinkled some of the cinnamon sugar and added a few small bits of butter to the top.  Baked it for about 25 minutes at about 350 is degrees and it was phenomenal.  Not too sweet, not too eggy.  And I forgot to take a picture because it smelled too amazing to not eat right away.

I like pie with strange decorations on the crust.
