Paper cutters.
In a day of sad thoughts and frustrations, one thing has brought me quite a lot of joy. Nope, it's not lipgloss today (although Evening Glow is my favorite today and I'd recommend it. Texture is comparable to Bare Minerals "Moxie" line and it's a third of the price and the color is very pretty! Behold:
)
No, not lipgloss but paper cutters.
While 12 inches would be too small and a 15 would be manageable, I kept thinking... but 24 inches. So much length to work with!
This one has a rotary blade, tres fancy! Don't know if I'd like it because I haven't worked much with rotaries. Not at all, actually. But ... mmm it's all architecty lookin' $106. Spendy spendy.

or the Vantage trimmer (left) and Swingline lite (right) each for 47 smackeroos:

The Stakcut is nothing to mess with. Cuts 30 sheets! And severs the souls of your enemies! for only $143!!! The dark grey just looks like it means serious business, doesn't it?

This 24 inch Swingline would look stunning in your elementary school classroom! But there are probably better guillotines for less than $206

Aren't they beautiful?! So much slicing! Such straight lines! Today's ability to make it through, brought to you by papercutter daydreams. And that will also be my next album title.

Scowl
Esteregstor
Making eggs yesterday! Nora was the most supreme and enthusiastic egg destroyer I've ever seen. Saddest egg casualty was my sweet brown egg with a lion and lamb on it.
Nora's favorite ways to break eggs:
Crack them against the oven door
Grip them with a two handed death grip and stab her thumbs into them with baby strength
Stealth egg murder. For example, when an egg thinks it is safe hiding in a mug of dye and she attacks the murk with a spoon until she hears the Crack!
Overloading a mug with five eggs and try to smash them in.
Climbing on the dining room table and stealing one out of a basket and cracking it against the table

Cake
My lamb cake brings all the boys to the yard
Damn right, it's better than yours
I could teach ya but I'd have to charge.
Can't fall back asleep
This is almost always really frustrating, but when it's because I have a bunch of ideas it is much more bearable. Guess it's time to get up, start the eggs and hot caffeine, do a little secret surprise for a six year old, set the ingredients for the lamb cake, and if I'm lucky start some paper crafting!
